Welcome to our Newsletters! Regular newsletters are something we've talked about for a very long time but have always relegated to simple emails when we could get to them. Hence, they seldom, if ever, got done. Our intention now is to produce a newsletter at least quarterly, post it to this blog page on our website and send an email with a link to it. New friends can see old newsletters this way and old friends can look over old memories. We'll see how it works.

So on with the our news!

 CALENDAR ALERTS

There have been some rather drastic changes to our Tour Calendar since out last email. Here's a quick rundown of what's going on. For a compete list of tours as we are booked for them and links to more details please check out our Calendar.

We have a Crown of the Continent trip of Glacier and Waterton National Parks coming up July 17, 2016 that has only 5 participants thus far. Five is enough to ensure the trip is running but we mention it in case you're one of those travelers who likes really small groups and relatively active trips. Registration for this trip will close soon so sign up today if this is your kind of outing.

A fall season custom trip was dropped due to scheduling difficulties and that space has been filled with a Zion and Beyond tour (9/17), an Essence of Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks trip (9/11), and a Seasons of Yosemite (9/25) outing.

Our 2016/2017 winter schedule is now set and posted on our Tour Calendar. Many of these trips fill up fast, especially the New Years holiday Winter Wonders trip so now is not too early to make plans. If you want to see Yellowstone in winter and have the best chance for nice weather we suggest the February 17, 2017 departure of Winter Wonders.

PREVIOUS TOURS

Kurt's spring Zion & Beyond tour went exceedingly well considering how unstable the weather was. Kurt's luck held out however, it seemed every time it rained the group was in the van after hiking and didn't actually need their rain gear - though not taking rain gear hiking would have been foolish. Here are a few photographs of Zion & Beyond the week of May 14, 2016.

Kurt will be posting more about this trip in our Travel Blog very soon.  Our next Zion & Beyond is a fall season excursion departing September 17, 2016.

PERSONAL TRIPS

Our list of personal outings is off to a fabulous start in 2016. We spent over three weeks in Australia during April visiting several National Parks and hiking extensively. Now we need to wade through around four thousand photographs before we can get a blog post done. Back at home we've experienced several good day hikes visiting places both familiar and unfamiliar. Some have already made it to our 2016 Trails Blog but several are still in the works. When faced with deciding if we should blog or go for a hike I bet you can guess which wins out. In the mean time here are a few photos from our personal trips since March.

Adventures never cease.

Of course we'd really enjoy seeing any and all of you on another trip someday, any day. Yet, what we really hope is you will continue to enjoy an active lifestyle while exploring our world and experiencing new places. Send us photos as we enjoy seeing what you're up to and we follow many of you on Facebook. This way we get ideas spurring our own adventures. Has anyone been hiking in Iceland for instance?

Until next time - TRAVEL SAFE.

Kurt and Eve.
